Position Title: CNC Machinist - 2nd or 3rd Shift

Shift: 2nd or 3rd

The Machinist is responsible for setting up, programming, and running low quantity non production precision die components in a state-of-the-art Milltronics machining center to support the achievement of this client's business goals and objectives. CNC Machinist Responsibilities:
- Program CNC equipment to meet customer specifications
- Load, unload and change tooling as necessary to perform changeovers and maintain proper tool cutting characteristics
- Align and secure parts to fixtures and ensure proper positioning
- Utilize gages such as but not limited to calipers, bore gages, OD micrometers, surface testers and thread gages to perform measurements inspections, and audits to ensure they meet customer specified requirements
- Make adjustments to tooling and program offsets to maintain desired part dimensions
- Deburr machined parts as specified by the customer and part specific instructions
- Inspect parts for chips, burrs and defects
- Utilize lifting equipment to move parts and equipment
- Clean and package completed parts
- Record production quantities of acceptable and unacceptable parts
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas

Requirements for CNC Machinist:
- High School Diploma or GED; Technical certificate in Machine Tool or similar program
- Journeyman Tool and Die Maker preferred
- Previous tool and die machine shop experience
- Technical capacity
- Strong attention to detail
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic math skills
- Able to read, write and follow instructions in English
