Job Description
Position Title: Cheese Production Associate

Wage: $18.30-$21.90 per hour

Shift: 1st, 2nd, 3rd

Hours: 3:45am-2:15pm (Mon-Fri); 2:00pm-12:30am (Mon-Fri); 8:30pm-7:30am (Sun-Thurs)

Cheese Production Associate Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform a variety of tasks involved in the manufacturing of cheese products by following established procedures, to produce product according to company specifications, quality and safety objectives.
- Carry out varied duties such as setup and monitoring of equipment, testing, inspecting, and providing feedback to Cheesemakers or Process Specialists.
- Must thoroughly understand processes and independently make decisions that affect product quality.
- Ensure production is running efficiently and processes meet Grande and regulatory standards.
- Setup, adjust, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure everything is operating effectively.
- Complete required paperwork.
- Assist with training new Associates.
- Sanitation Maintain a clean working area by performing general sanitation of areas and equipment.
- Tear down and re-assemble equipment as required.
- Regulatory Compliance Complete all required documentation, recordkeeping, and reporting as required by law and/or regulatory agencies, (i.e. DNR, DOL, EEOC, FDA, IMS, OSHA, SQF, USDA, WDA, etc.).
- Follow all SAFETY (food & workplace) policies and procedures.
- All other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Follow government standards and regulations.
- Provide back-up relief as needed.

Cheese Production Associate Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk with frequent bending, twisting, and pushing.
- Repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- The physical plant environment is clean, but sometimes cool/hot depending on department, wet and moderately noisy.
- High School or GED preferred.
- Three (3) months or more of related work experience and/or training in a food manufacturing industry strongly preferred.
- Basic math, reading, writing, and computer skills.
- Ability to follow instructions/policies/procedures in written, verbal, or diagram form.
- Must be able to read, understand and carry out written procedures.
