What You Will Do:

We seek a Proposal Manager/Lead Technical Proposal Writer who acts as the content architect and internal coordinator of key Astronautics proposals and complex written customer-facing documentation. In this role you will be responsible for managing the development, planning, and writing of compliant and compelling content that responds to specific business opportunities. As a key member of the proposal team, the Proposal Manager will support new business capture by working closely with business development and product strategy along with the subject matter experts (SMEs) from across the Astronautics organization to clearly elucidate win themes, differentiators, benefits, and key features for technical and management proposals. The Proposal Manager also creates and manages a library of reusable outlines and content for future proposals and drives improvements to the proposal-writing process and timely completion of proposal inputs from key stakeholders within the organization.

  • Deconstruct Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Quotations (RFQs) into manageable and assignable packages or tasks that can be disseminated within the Astronautics organization.
  • Coordinates with proposal section authors to collect information and write and edit content for multiple concurrent RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs. Additionally, the position is responsible for rewriting text to ensure clarity, singular voice and style, and consistency in approach and compliance to RFP requirements.
  • Collaborate directly with SMEs and other stakeholders (program managers, capture managers, sales & business development managers, product strategy managers, engineering experts, and leadership) to collect, tailor, and translate content to ensure appropriate messaging in compliance with solicitation documentation.
  • Work with key stakeholders both independently and as a member of a team to write and develop proposal sections, including but not limited to corporate and executive summaries, past performance volumes, technical approaches, management plans, and other documents in support of the overall proposal effort and standardization of information, collection, organization, and tracking.
  • Serve as a team leader to coordinate major proposal efforts, including but not limited to keeping track of proposal due dates, validity dates, expected award dates, and win/loss results.
