Description/Job Summary

Inteplast Building Products produces PVC Moulding, Trim, Decking, Porch, Dock, Interior prefinished polystyrene mouldings, etc.

Extrusion Technician: Seeking Experienced Extrusion Technicians
10 Shifts working Monday through Thursday - some occasional overtime may be required

  • Starting pay $16.75 or more with previous manufacturing expereince
  • Evening and Overnight - shift-differentials
  • Previous work experience in plastic/molding extrusion process is a plus.
  • Pay negotiable based upon relevant experience.

Responsibilities/Duties
  • Responsible for safety, quality and production of assigned line
  • Maximize throughput in accordance with operating instructions
  • Maintain and monitor gauge profile control in accordance with plant objective
  • Ensure correct resin formulations in accordance with SOC's
  • Fill out the raw material consumption according to docket and enter in the system
  • Initiate timely line adjustments to correct quality issues, in accordance with operating procedures and/or troubleshooting manuals
  • Closely monitor all extrusion functions to ensure that line is running within required operating conditions
  • Take line data to verify settings according to product being run
  • Assist adjoining line, as needed, to maximize productivity
  • Properly maintain and care for equipment. Notify Sr. Technician of any maintenance issues requiring immediate attention
  • Initiate maintenance work orders on items that need to be addressed on future outages
  • Housekeeping: ensure that lines are kept clean and orderly, complying with daily housekeeping requirements checklists
  • Overtime as required
  • Provide cooperative support for QC lab requirements in testing procedures
  • Support Process Department to meet plant and departmental goals
  • Comply with Plant safety regulations and good manufacturing practices
  • Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
  • Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.

  • 2 years' experience in extrusion
  • P.C. knowledge
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Oral and written communication skills
Preferred Education
  • High school graduate or equivalent
