Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 4-10 hour shifts between the core hours of 5 AM and 5 PM with a 1:4 weekend rotation. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:

  • Provide comprehensive care to Emergency General Surgery (EGS) patients with varying acuity and diagnoses.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to provide consistent high-quality care to our patients.
  • Participate in daily rounding and multi-disciplinary rounds on adult EGS patients.
  • Assist with bedside procedures.
  • Assist with patient admissions and discharges from the General Surgery teams.
  • Communicate across multiple care teams for inpatient management and consulting teams.
  • Manage postoperative EGS patients.

Education:

Minimum -

If Nurse Practitioner:

Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.

If Physician Assistant:

Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum -

If Nurse Practitioner: Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin AND active board certification as a NP in Family, Adult, Adult/Gero Primary Care, or Adult/Gero Acute Care.

If Physician Assistant: Active PA license in State of Wisconsin AND active PA board certification.

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
