PCI is seeking a Site Safety Representative for its Chicago operations based in Mount Pleasant, WI. This individual will be responsible for the following duties:

Promote safety, safe work practices and behaviors to instill an injury-free culture throughout all site and field personnel.
• Assist branch / site with the implementation and administration of the company's accident prevention plan, policies and procedures. Including safety resources such as training, expertise and guidance.
• Represent PCI and participate in Safety Committee activities
• Assist in identifying, correcting, and mitigating routine and non-routine safety and health hazards.
• Ensure company and client safety reports and documentation are submitted timely and in accordance with client requirements and expectations.
• Council and coach workers to gain compliance with the accident prevention plans, policies and procedures.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential safety health hazards.
• Conduct job site inspections and periodic audits to establish and evaluate the level of compliance.
• Responsible for investigation and evaluation of injuries and illnesses for the project site.
• Convey a professional and positive attitude as the safety representative of plant site and corporation.
• Evaluate and approve safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).

This position is safety-sensitive.

Basic Requirements:

• Has an academic degree in safety, ASP, CHST, or CSP designation, OR has a minimum three (3) years of prior work history as a designated construction safety coordinator.
• Possesses a valid OSHA 30-hour training certification card issued within the past two years of this Agreement.
• Possesses current certifications in first aid, CPR and AED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prolonged periods standing and working outside.
• Physically able to perform assigned tasks.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time.
