Position Summary:
Assembler 1 is responsible for the assembly and test of Hillrom cardiology products per the written procedure and quality systems requirements
Position Responsibilities:
* Perform bench assembly, testing and packing on sub or finished unit assemblies according to assembly procedures (i.e. BOM, DHR, Work Instructions, etc.).
* Ensure use of most up to date procedures by using ERP system (SAP).
* Perform basic troubleshooting on assemblies which does not require a technician.
* Complete all appropriate forms and DHRs legibly and correctly for the assemblies they are working on following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
* Cross train into multiple positions/products as directed by production supervisor
* Perform other tasks as assigned by Manufacturing Assembly Supervisor
* Adhere to the Quality System.
* Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in their work.
* Apply continuous improvement thinking by suggesting improvements for their work areas and job functions to reduce costs and lead time.
* Follow standard work (manufacturing procedures) as written.

Essential competencies:
Education and prior work experience
* High School diploma or equivalent
* Requirements for this position include 0-1 years manufacturing assembly experience
* Prior experience in a medical device company a plus
Skills and abilities:
* Fluent in English (both written and oral)
* Ability to read and understand Work Instructions and Bill of Materials
* Basic Computer skills
* 0-1 years' experience working with SAP
Physical demands and work environment:
* Physical Demands: Up to 30 lbs. lifting
* Ability to sit and/or stand throughout the workday.
