HOW YOU WILL DO IT

Purpose Statement:

Provides JD Edwards technical support to the company user community while ensuring that applications, systems, networks and technologies are available and functioning in support of business processes. Collaboration with IT team members, vendors and business team members to identify and resolve issues as well as provide effort to technology projects that promote the company's philosophy and business objectives.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Follow established change management policy and procedure to research and recommend new technology, test and implement system updates, modifications or deletions. Works to ensure systems remain healthy and available while delivering flawless execution to common, customized and complex tasks as well as strategic projects.
  • Partner and collaborate with members of global IT including project management, solution management, and infrastructure to deploy high complexity purchased or developed technologies that support business requirements.
  • Ensure user satisfaction by resolving common, customized and complex operational issues regarding areas of expertise or assignment, utilizing Plexus policies and/or procedures. Identifies permanent resolution through root cause analysis.
  • Own and maintain systems, networks, technologies or processes that provide a solution to a business functions. The support of moderate and high complexity and / or customized solutions to ensure the availability, integrity, security and recoverability of company data on a 24 x 7 x 365 basis. This includes ticket escalation and resolution; patch management and deployment; performance and availability monitoring; resource capacity and management; upgrade execution; system documentation; installation and configuration.
  • Develop and enhance procedures that are established to deploy, manage and support systems which provide services to global, regional or local team members and/or customer needs.
  • At times may provide and manage the daily activities of others. Provide guidance, advice, feedback, and support to less experienced team members. Support the onboarding and training of new CNC Admins.

Additional Accountabilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that solutions support company and customer policies surrounding key controls and compliance, such as SOX, ITAR, EAR, FDA, and others as appropriate by properly specifying these needs as part of the overall delivery of requirements.
  • Technical Currency: Remain current on companybusiness, industry and IT technology trends in order to provide forward looking solutions
  • Focus on continuous improvement - personal, the team, and processes. Develop, discuss and adapt to those enhancements and changes.
  • Actively lead Functional User Groups and similar meetings by sharing common problems and solutions across multiple sites/regions and providing user request updates.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 6 years of related experience is required for this position, assuming education requirements are met; 8 years of related experience is preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.


Other Qualifications:

  • In depth working knowledge of common technologies including enterprise operating systems, networking protocols and data management technologies
  • Security, menu and UDO, data source, OCM and path code architecture, process and administration.
  • Audit and Compliance control writing and internal and external audit interactions.
  • General JDE maintenance, ESU and VDI administration using tools such as Server Manager Console and WebLogic Console.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all departments, company and customer information while working safely at all times.
  • The ability to support around the clock monitoring and management and may result in support or activities after normal business hours.

Work Environment:

  • The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
