Job Description
Overview

Responsible for picking and delivering medical supplies to the hospital floors. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collects contaminated supplies and equipment from clinics and hospital.
  • Disassembles, cleans and disinfect all equipment using proper techniques.
  • Fills orders for equipment and supplies.
  • Knows how to operate the equipment from Central Supply.
  • Enters and verifies patient charges for equipment and supplies used.
  • Restocks and delivers to departments' crash carts, procedure trays, respiratory supplies, linen carts, Central Supply carts and supply carts as needed.
  • Answers telephones and intercom properly.
  • Assists in training new Central Supply Technicians.

Work is performed according to specific procedures and methods, but the incumbent must make minor decisions in order to adapt to routine situations.
