Job Description
Job Description: Understand our users and potential users by identifying their motivations, needs, expectations, and goals. Uncover areas of opportunity to improve the user experience of MongoDB products and services. Partner with stakeholders to clearly define research problems and distill technically complex requirements into actionable research plans. Identify actionable ways to improve our users’ experience with MongoDB’s products and services. Collect and analyze data through a wide array of User Experience research methods including, but not limited to field studies, surveys, competitive analyses, user interviews, card sorting, and live A/B testing. Able to formulate specific, answerable, and practical questions, with the underlying desire to understand the “why" and “how”. Execute mixed-method and strategic research to support product and company goals. Translate research findings into actionable insights for diverse audiences, including product designers, product managers, engineers, and C-level executives. Serve as a subject matter expert on a portfolio of MongoDB products. Facilitate ideation sessions with product stakeholders.
Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Cognitive Science, Anthropology, Human Factors, HCI/CS, Business Strategy, or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or related role.
Experience and/or education must include:
- Qualitative and Quantitative Data Analysis using the following tools: Dovetail, Airtable, Tableau, LucidSpark, Excel, Google Sheets;
- Primary and Secondary Data Collection using Qualtrics, UserTesting, Google Forms, Zoom;
- Participant Session and Data Management with experience in User Interviews, Rally, Google Drive;
- Data Presentation, Visualization, and Storytelling using Figma, Brandfolder, Lucidcharts, Google Slides;
- Research Study Design and Execution using Amplitude, Tremendous, Salesforce; and
- Project and Process Management using JIRA, Confluence.
