Job Description

Fincantieri Marinette Marine, a Fincantieri Marine Group Company, is a progressive shipyard specializing in building ships for the United States Navy. We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Technical Coordinator/Receipt Inspector at our Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin location.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the review, monitoring and auditing of company policy, procedure, plans, and work instructions. Train, and provide guidance to foremen, managers, and their subordinates in order to facilitate compliance with Quality Management System according to the ISO 9001:2015 International Standard, statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements. Communicate with management personnel, and general workforce. Communicate with Regulatory Bodies, Customer Representatives and other agencies for compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the oversight and enforcement of company policy, procedure, plans, and work instruction.
  • Responsible for issuing internal corrective action requests to all business units and personnel.
  • Responsible for response and action to corrective action requests from regulatory bodies.
  • Responsible for the planning, execution, and documentation of receipt inspection, internal audits and surveillances.
  • Responsible for collating data for metrics and reporting the results to manager.
  • Responsible for communicating with management personnel, and general workforce. Communicates with Regulatory Bodies, Customer Representatives and other agencies for compliance with requirements.
  • Maintains a commitment to the company vision and the "spirit" of the organization.
  • Must abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Position does not directly supervise employees but may be responsible to coordinate to minimize delays in production activities or schedule. Demonstrates leadership skills that align with the mission, vision, and values of the Company.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee's workspace is in a clean and comfortable climate-controlled setting with little to no exposure to the moving equipment, elements, extreme conditions, or risk of injury. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. When entering the shipyard, the work environment is not climate-controlled and there is exposure to moving equipment, etc.
