Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for development, updating, and maintenance of project schedules and associated resource plans. Responsible for posting and reporting of schedules and resource plans as required. Responsible for the incorporation and maintenance of baseline and EVM data within project schedule files as required. Responsible for adherence to scheduling/resource planning processes, WBS standards and SOPs (standard operating procedures).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Must abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Assure development of PMB (Performance Management Baseline) and maintenance of project schedules.
  • Aid in development and maintenance work center master schedules.
  • Assist and maintain supplemental schedule(s) supporting the project.
  • Develop and maintain long-range production resource plans.
  • Adhere to scheduling and resource planning standards.
  • Aid in development and maintenance of schedule-related EVMS data and documents.
  • Communicate internally and externally to respond to information recipient of both customers and stakeholders.
  • Hold meetings with CAMs (Control Account Managers) and Foremen.
  • Interface with others at MMC and customers.
  • Internally communicate with Planning, Production and Material Control, Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Program Management, Marketing, Finance, and Senior Management customers, to respond to their informational requirements.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee's workspace is in a clean and comfortable climate-controlled setting with little to no exposure to the moving equipment, elements, extreme conditions, or risk of injury. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. When entering the shipyard, the work environment is not climate-controlled and there is exposure to moving equipment, etc.
