DescriptionHolt CAT is the nation's largest dealer of Caterpillar products. We are accepting applications for a College Intern with our Irving Parts Department. The primary purpose of this internship is to learn and develop an understanding of the overall Machine Parts Department. Working under the direct guidance of an experienced Parts Warehouse Supervisor receiving on-the-job training, coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
This position is an entry-level Parts intern and will be under the direct guidance of an experienced Parts Warehouse Supervisor to receive on-the-job training. The intern's primary purpose is to learn and develop an understanding of the overall Parts Department operation.
Essential Functions:
- Completes all parts order pulling transactions for external and internal customers in an accurate, timely manner
- Completes all stock replenishment tasks to ensure property inventory status in the parts warehouse
- Maintain parts warehouse and outside yards so they are neat and orderly
- Receives reviews and coaching with the designated mentor
- Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Basic computer skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- Basic math calculations and the ability to read, write, and understand work instructions
Education and Experience:
- Currently enrolled in a college or technical program
