Job Description
As Director of Compensation you will oversee the planning and administration of company compensation plans for all employees, independent sales agents, Executive and the Board Of Directors. You will ensure the maintenance of our compensation objectives and their competitive position in the marketplace to attract, motivate and retain talent. You will also partner with Benefits to develop and oversee implementation of a total rewards philosophy, strategy and framework. You will work collaboratively as a member of division leadership team to attain division and Enterprise goals and deliver quality services to our Enterprise. You will report to the Employee Experience Vice President.

Position Compensation Range:

$144,000.00 - $245,000.00

Primary Accountabilities

  • Create a collaborative, performance-driven work environment by facilitating and fostering trust, transparency, and inclusion. Work with team members to set clear goals, provide feedback, perform performance assessments, and support ongoing development.
  • Lead with influence and expertise as well as contribute to division or department leadership team. Communicate and support Enterprise mission, vision, values.
  • Oversee compensation program vision by development of compensation programs, plans, and policies for all employees and independent sales agents. Responsibilities include: job design, base pay, variable pay, recognition and reward efforts. You will also coordinate with division leaders to ensure a holistic approach to total rewards strategy.
  • Partner with division staff and other leadership to maintain a constant awareness of changes that could improve human resources and pay strategies. You will also develop presentations to influence change at the Executive level.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and research such as developing trends to lead change in our compensation offerings. Ensure compensation programs support our Enterprise goals and strategies which include marketplace competitiveness.
  • Monitor effectiveness of our programs as it relates to cost, quality, and strategic alignment.
  • Ensure all programs and policies are compliant with local, state, and federal laws. As well as interface with legal, accounting, tax, and other departments to resolve compliance issues.
  • Deliver persuasive communication of compensation programs total rewards to achieve employee awareness, understanding and adoption.
  • Work with senior management to design Executive compensation and perquisite programs and policies.
  • Keep abreast of trends and best practices for Executive compensation and perquisites as well as team with other division leaders and individual contributors to bring recommendations forward to senior management and the compensation committee of the Board of Directors.
  • Establish and maintain a working relationship with outside consultant team to administer Executive compensation items.
  • Oversee compensation offerings for the company`s Board of Directors.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

  • 5+ years of demonstrated effective management or leadership experience.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience designing and executing large scale corporate incentive initiatives and/or programs.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of financial acumen, analytics, compensation programs, discipline and practices to drive business value and strengthen employee experience.
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and innovating corporate-wide strategic initiatives and developing strategic partnerships.
  • Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local employment, wage, and salary laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience counseling, consulting, negotiating to guide strategic our decisions across all levels of management.

In this primarily office-based role, you will be expected to spend at least 80% of your time (4+ days per week) working from one of the following office location Madison, WI 53783

You must reside within a 50-mile radius of the office location #LI-Onsite
