Position Overview

The Reporting Specialist I is responsible for the delivery of the finalized clinical report to the client through various delivery methods, including portal upload (myPrevent), e-mail, fax, and in some instances mail. The Reporting Specialist I is also responsible for final verification of report veracity (appropriate signatures on the report, report demographic information, physician information and credentials) before transmission.

Location: The Reporting Specialist I will work onsite.

Shift: Wednesday-Sunday from 9AM-5:30PM

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage a queue of reports ready for delivery to clients after being finalized for submission by geneticists or medical writers.
  • Perform a final verification of report veracity (appropriate signatures on the report, verify demographic information for the patient, physician, and ordering institution).
  • Transmit the report in a timely manner after being finalized using electronic methods (portal, e-mail, fax) or mail.
  • Transmit confidential data files to clients, as requested.
  • Computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Software, especially Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with genetics terminology.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Attention to detail and responsiveness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a particular proclivity to detail.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues via interpersonal skills in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage confidential information.
  • Ability to set priorities, multitask, and troubleshoot problems effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to become proficient with new software programs and/or workflows rapidly.
  • Visual acuity is required to view computer screen.
  • The ability to stand and/or sit for up to 50 minutes during each hour is necessary in order to send out clinical genetics reports.
  • The ability to maneuver throughout the company building is necessary to access computers.
  • Hearing acuity is necessary to receive warnings of potential laboratory danger and to hear telephones and door bells.

  • Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical school or college coursework preferred.

Salary Range:

$31,000.00 - $49,000.00

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Marshfield on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
