This is a hybrid role that would require commuting to our Hartford, WI headquarters multiple times a week.

Job Summary:

The New Product Development (NPD) Sourcing Leader is responsible for working cross-functionally with New Product Development teams. This will include managing, providing insight and ensuring effective coordination and execution of projects as they relate to the sourcing of products and processes supporting U.S. and Foreign Operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead Sourcing support to New Product Development (NPD) teams, ensuring projects remain on schedule and deliver successful product launches
  • Collaborate with cross functional (often multi-site) teams to identify, schedule, and execute all sourcing related deliverables defined in NPD process
  • Take a forward-looking, strategic approach to the existing, long-range New Product Schedule
  • Develop a Plan for Every Part (PFEP) that optimizes quality, delivery and cost
  • Prototype planning and coordination of material to meet project objectives, developing and supporting local suppliers where needed
  • Identify and develop prospective sources and supplier partners that bring needed technology and capabilities in alignment with the project plan
  • Establish and foster key relationships throughout the organization enabling effective performance, execute on commitments, deliver results and drive critical issues simultaneously
  • Ensure project teams adhere to strategic direction of Global Sourcing and purchasing control requirements in product designs
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to new product development processes to attain improved product launch metrics

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors' Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or related field. APICS certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years supply chain and/or NPD support experience
  • Experience working on cross functional teams
  • Ability to multi-task and drive critical issues simultaneously
  • Strong Project Management Skills
  • Self-motivated to identify, analyze, and independently implement solutions to resolve issues
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related products (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in English, additional languages French and/or Spanish an advantage
  • Up to 15% Travel with some International

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean and Sigma training/experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership capability with the ability to shape and drive change
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with teams and independently

Physical Requirements:

Primarily seated work in an indoor office environment
