Work Schedule:

100% FTE, daytime hours. 8:00AM - 4:30PM Monday - Friday. You will work at the Public Service Commission (PSC) on Whitney Way in Madison. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Join the mission of the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics (UWHC) School of Radiologic Technology (SRT) and play a critical role in educating student radiographers during clinical practicum courses and clinical education assignments.

We are seeking a Radiology Instructor to:

  • Assume responsibility with other School of Radiologic Technology (SRT) faculty for clinical education of student radiographers during clinical practicum courses.
  • Assist with and conduct student evaluations and competency testing within the SRT during clinical education experiences.
  • Circulate to all clinical education settings to instruct student radiographers, collaborate with clinical staff regarding student performance, and assist with administering the School of Radiologic Technology rules, regulations, and policies in compliance with current Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Standards.

Education:

Minimum - Graduate of a radiography program and Baccalaureate Degree

Preferred - Baccalaureate Degree in Education

Work Experience:

Minimum - Two (2) years full-time clinical experience as a radiographer with significant experience in the supervision, instruction and evaluation of student radiographers

Preferred - Five (5) years full-time clinical experience as a radiographer with significant experience in the supervision, instruction and evaluation of student radiographers

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum -

  • ARRT certification in Radiography
  • WI Radiographer License
  • Basic Life Support/CPR

Preferred - ARRT certification in a post-primary category such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging Mammography, Computed Tomography ot Angiography/Interventional.
