Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network Admin/Systems Engineer with our client for a permanent role in their Darien, WI location.

Summary:
The Network Admin/Systems Engineer is responsible for all aspects of information systems technology, along with researching, implementing, developing, and supporting new and existing information system technologies that support our business infra-structure. This includes technical support, administration, security, reporting and training.
Programmer Analyst responsibilities include ACCESS, Visual Basic, HTML, Progress, SQL, and Crystal Report, as well as various networking and vendor related tools and requirements in response to executive and user demand.

Responsibilities:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

IT Support:
  • Troubleshooting, diagnostics, and problem-solving for the following systems and departments
  • Network Administrator
  • Network Architect
  • Server Support
  • Desktop Support and Peripherals (computers, printers, scanners, PDAs)
  • End User Support (IT Project Status Report)
  • Webmaster
  • Exchange Administrator (including Blackberry, Android and iOS support)
  • Telecom Support (VOIP, Cell phones, Land Lines)
  • Shop Floor Support (ERP, data collection systems, ESOP, labeling,)
  • Application Support (Goldmine, Concord, CRM, custom departmental applications)
  • Database Administration (Access, Progress, SQL)
  • Security Support (Internet, VPN, Access Control, File Permissions, Network Security, Security Systems and Cameras)
IT Administration:
  • Account creation, network management, computer updates, hot fixes, server updates, backups, network security
  • Review current technology costs
  • IT & Finance month-end close process and Finance report requirements
Programmer Analyst:
  • Streamline software and hardware technologies, improving current software and hardware technology applications
  • Create the future technology plans to improve PAI systems and processes
  • Internal design work (creative work, promos, business cards, website development) demands Access, Visual Basic, HTML, Progress, SQL & Crystal software programming in response to executive and user
  • Work as an inter-department resource to improve processes and workflow.
  • Network Admin/Systems Engineer
IT Internal Administration:
  • Approve vendor invoices for payment, purchase new hardware and software, manage warranty information issues, price procurement issues, review software and hardware vendors
  • Inventory of all IT assets
  • Implementation and support of all internal and external communications
  • Cost control of cell phone plans and internal phone/internet charges
IT Skill Development:
  • Training through manuals, technical white papers, internet resources, conferences, technical demonstrations.
Qualifications:

Education & Industry Exposure:
  • Minimum two year degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience.
  • Training in telecomm, desktop support, network administration, and database administration.
  • Experience in server installation and network device installations, Diagnostic tools experience/use.
Technical Background:
  • Two years experience in a support environment.
  • Five years experience working in IT.
  • Two years working in a fully-integrated manufacturing / accounting computer system.
  • Combination of education and experience as listed above.
Language Skills:
  • English is spoken at Protect-all
  • Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Conversational Spanish is helpful but not required
Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Uses statistics and probability
Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in ritten, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
