Summary: To direct the shift operating crews in the Power & Pulp Department in order to maintain a safe, reliable, cost-effective supply of the plant utilities (i.e. water, steam, electrical, chemicals and air) and pulp supply to allow the mill to effectively operate and manufacture corrugating medium board. |
Education: BS in Engineering, Pulp and Paper Sciences, or Process Engineering or License as a First-Class Operator per National Institute for the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers. Education experience may be waived depending on individual's years of experience in industry.
Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in pulp, power/recovery, or paper process industry.
Skills: Must be proficient in communication skills. Must perform consistently and effectively under pressure. Must be able to deal effectively in conflict resolution. If educational requirements have been waived, previous experience is required in area (i.e. power/recovery or power and pulp).
Training: Dependent on background of applicant.
