Become One Of Our Valued Agricultural Team Members:

Work outside in our fields during the summer months and inside preparing for the next season during the winter months! As a member of our Agricultural/Field Pest Control team you will be responsible for partnering with our growers to ensure crops are planted according to our harvest schedules, scout crops for weed, insect and disease pressure, and develop appropriate action plans. In the off season assist in the overhaul and repair of machinery and vehicles used in field operations as well as securing acreage for the next season.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain good grower and company relations.
  • Contract acres with growers for processing crops.
  • Collaborate with Agricultural Manager and seed manufacturers on seed variety selection and seed distribution.
  • Supervise the planting of crops as directed by the Agricultural Manager.
  • Direct contracted spraying services, used for processing crops for weeds, insects, and diseases.
  • Maintain an organized seed and chemical inventory, as well as an accurate record of the inventory.

What You'll Bring:

  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • Degree or course study in crop and soil science or agri-business a plus
  • Previous experience in a field representative program or as an agronomist preferred
  • Prior Mechanical experience with harvest/agriculture equipment a plus
  • Must be licensed, or capable of becoming licensed, by the State of Wisconsin as a CustomPesticide Applicator. Lakeside will cover the costs as necessary.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, the pests which may affect processing crops, and be, or become,familiar with the detection and control methods for such pests.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to ensure good grower relations.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows programs, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, SAP & ITA
