This is a hybrid role that would require commuting to our Hartford, WI headquarters multiple times a week.

Position Description: Product Quality Specialist, Kitchen Ventilation product line

Responsibilities

Subject Matter Expert

  • Understand and meet our consumers and customers' needs through innovative air quality solutions.
  • Apply technical knowledge, Production Parts Approval Process (PPAPs), statistical principles, structured problem-solving methodologies, and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) principles to make product robust/reliable, participate and validate in FMEA, PPRs to create robust designs.
  • Participate in supplier development/selection.
  • Analyze quality data and make recommendations to adjust product design for DFMEA.
  • Develop and or improve quality procedures/standards/methods to meet required capability.
  • Choose appropriate action and alternatives with rationale based on facts, constraints, and predicted consequences.
  • Immerse in NPD process and philosophies through the entire development project from conception through product launch.

Leadership

  • Effectively lead and motivate suppliers/sites to work toward accomplishing project objectives.
  • Be accountable and lead by example making and meeting project milestones and deliverables.
  • Lead and execute quality improvements opportunities
  • Own gathering and sharing insights from product performance in the field.
  • Challenge yourself and your team to be innovative, take moderate risks to overcome project obstacles. Provide options, scenarios, and recommendations to overcome obstacles.
  • Support conflict resolution, speak up and raise concern in global and regional settings.
  • Effectively communicate deliverables' status, timelines, execution plans, and deviations to the team and various levels of senior leadership.
  • Facilitate corrective actions and disposition non-conformance.

Project execution

  • When applicable, provide direct support to the project leader in management of technical deliverables.
  • Ensure effective communication across multiple domestic and international business platforms/suppliers/sites.
  • Proactively identify, plan, and provide recommendations to overcome technical risks and obstacles.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with senior leadership to align business's & NPD project objectives and mitigate obstacles for project completion.
  • Receive general direction, but exercise discretion as to time management, independently identifying, prioritizing, and delegating tasks.

Strategy & Innovation

  • Know your consumer, be abreast of competition and technology, industry standards and regulation.
  • Identify, develop, and execute quality into New Products by design.
  • Be informed of IP development and management.
  • Innovate and continually strive to bring first to market solutions

Job Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree is preferred or a technical degree with 5+ yrs of prior relevant industry experience (consumer product development).
  • Experience in Quality processes is required.
  • Knowledge and experience in quality systems (e.g. Power BI, AGILE) and Advanced product quality planning (APQP).
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to collaborate with project teams/ multiple sites/suppliers, and multiple functions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on business priorities
  • Demonstrate consumer/customer centric mindset, business acumen
  • Work under minimal direction and guided by project objectives.
  • Proven experience supporting a wide volume of projects with high complexity.
  • 2-3 years managing supplier performance in a global environment
  • Statistical tools/ Techniques, Failure Analysis, and Process Validation experience
  • Up to 25% Travel, includes International
