Position Summary:
This position will provide process and project engineering technical support for various manufacturing operations in a food processing facility. (Primarily aseptic packaging, processing & CIP) In this role, the individual will be responsible for production line trouble shooting, project management - administer budgeting, design, installation, qualification and commissioning, knowledge transfer to maintenance team of new/modified process systems. Additional responsibilities include, assisting Production and Quality Departments to resolve non-maintenance related production and quality issues, conduct training, maintain, and update documentation relating to job. Assist Factory Engineering Manager as needed on factory improvement initiatives / projects as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
* As subject matter expert, provide day-to-day process-engineering support for all plant processes, primarily aseptic processes and packaging.
* Assist Technical & maintenance teams in resolving maintenance, quality, waste and/or product losses. Conduct follow-up investigations, root cause analysis; recommend equipment modifications, procedural changes, etc., necessary to prevent recurrence. Coordinate implementation of corrective action(s).
* Knowledge and competency - Develop, learn and pass on knowledge in the aseptic and other processing areas cross functionally with primary goal of developing good troubleshooting skills and continuous improvement skills within Maintenance team members
* Provide project management and technical engineering support for factory operations and minor projects involving modification and/or installation of new processing systems. Administer design, preparation of cost and timing schedules, installation, qualification, and commissioning before turnover to Production. Assist to train, knowledge transfer - Team Leaders, Operators, and Maintenance personnel. Prepare and issue documentation as required.
* Provide engineering assistance for day-to-day plant activities and projects. Work with Production and Quality Assurance to establish and assure the quality level of the finished product complies with FDA regulations and specified quality standards.
* Establish and maintain a strong working relationship providing for effective communication and exchange of information flow between plant teams and external resources.
* All employees will support and participate in Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE) and Total Performance Management (TPM) as a part of their job responsibility within their Business Unit or as assigned within the factory.
* Perform other duties as assigned.


Experience and Education Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering
* Experience in food processing or equivalent in FDA, USDA regulated food, beverage or dairy plant
* Project Management experience Preferred

Skills:
* Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD and MS project preferred.
* Strong project management skills
* Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
* Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
* Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
* Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
* Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail
* A "self-starter" requiring minimal direct supervision but a team player.
* Knowledgeable in the principles and application of statistics.
* Understands principles of QMS, HACCP, and SOP's.
