Location: US:WI:MILWAUKEE at our FROEDTERT HOSPITAL facility.

Shift: Shift 1

Schedule: Clinic hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30a-5p.

Job Summary:

  • The Occupational Therapist III/clinical lead provides day to day support for the Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital Hand/UE department.
  • Works in conjunction with leadership to develop department and system staff, and program elements to deliver quality patient care.
  • Effectively communicates with all stakeholders to ensure a cohesive, collaborative work environment.
  • Provides direct patient care using advanced clinical skills and knowledge to assess and effectively manage a wide range of conditions / diagnoses, including complex upper extremity trauma.
The Occupational Therapist provides comprehensive occupational therapy services to the patient by assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting patient care and treatment programs. The therapist participates in varied Rehabilitation Services department activities designed to enhance patient care and programs. An Occupational Therapist III demonstrates advanced evaluation and treatment skills and is involved in program development, staff education, student supervision and/or assisting in department supervision and day-to-day operations Also demonstrates solid leadership skills. Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of 3 years clinical therapist experience meeting requirements of Level 2 responsibilities as determined by interview and assessment. A minimum of 5 years experience as a therapist is preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy is required.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Must be proficient at all OT level 2 competencies, maintain productivity level (except when working on special projects) and have the potential to take on additional responsibilities. Demonstrates leadership qualities.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

WI state license as a Occupational Therapist is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days.
