Job Summary

Bilingual Special Education Teachers provide an instructional program for students that is appropriate to their educational needs and developmental levels. The educational program is offered in an equitable, multicultural setting and teaches all children to think deeply, critically, and creatively. Teach lessons in both English and English-Spanish bilingual settings to special education elementary school students. Maintain a broad knowledge of all facets related to the teaching assignment as it relates to the subject/grade level of the students. The teacher incorporates into the instructional program as appropriate the ten teaching and learning goals of the district. The teacher plans and organizes instruction; presents and reinforces lessons; addresses different learning modalities; uses appropriate classroom management strategies; relates well to students; communicates effectively, both verbally, nonverbally, and in writing with students, parents, and other staff members; is willing to participate in student extracurricular activities; and performs other duties as assigned.

Requires bachelor's degree in any field qualifying for Wisconsin teacher license eligibility. Requires Wisconsin DPI teacher license in bilingual education and special education, or eligibility for Wisconsin DPI teacher license in bilingual education and special education. Qualifications
