Duties and Responsibilities
1. Review and approve student organization events, review requests to organize, and supervise annual student group registration process.
2. Provide coordination for student-sponsored programming activities and administer policies regarding program operations.
a. Assist with training and advising students and student organizations on programming procedures, facility usage, program marketing & publicity.
b. Work closely with students to facilitate the contracting of entertainment, speakers, films, and facilities.
c. Administer university policies regarding program operations (e.g. film/video, literature distribution, event approvals, contracts, music licensing, etc.)
3. Coordinate identified campus activities, including but not limited to Organization Fest, Campus Activities, and Homecoming.
a. Advise the Campus Activities Board
b. Provide direction and support for campus programming.
c. Coordinate the calendar of Campus Activities events sponsored by departments and student organizations.
d. Plan collaborative events.
e. Manage the budget for student engagement.
f. Assess the effectiveness and appeal of Campus Activities Board programs
4. Develop and implement trainings related to programming and student organization operations
a. Select, train, and supervise the undergraduate Program Interns for Campus Activities and Program Interns for Student Organizations
b. Provide regular communications to organizations and advisors
5. Select, train, and supervise the Graduate Assistant for Campus Activities and the Graduate Assistant for Student Organizations
6. Support the development, revision, and implementation as necessary of key student organization policies and procedures.
7. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor's degree in student personnel administration, higher education administration, or related field required.

A minimum of 2 years of related experience.

Candidates will possess strong oral and written communication skills.

Commitment to, knowledge of, and experience with multicultural education, community service programming, leadership development, and student activities.

Availability to work some nights and weekends when needed in order to ensure a quality student experience is an expectation for the position.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Master's degree in student personnel administration, higher education administration, or related field

Supervisory experience preferred.

Preference will be given to candidates with at least two years of administrative experience (including graduate assistantships) in student activities, large-scale campus program planning, or event management as well as experience advising students from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
