Work Schedule:

100% FTE, days/evenings. Flexible schedule options between 8am and 7pm, with an expectation of a couple evenings (until 7pm)/week. You may be eligible for up to a $3000 sign-on bonus. This is a hybrid position. When in person, you will work at 122 E Olin Ave in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist to:

  • Provide mental health and substance use evidence-based treatment to adolescents ages 12-21, including caregivers, with the ability to make dual-diagnoses.
  • Perform assessments, treatment planning, ongoing individual and family therapy, case management, and complete related documentation.
  • Work with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team of providers.
  • Provide a hybrid of telehealth (work from home) and in clinic care. The position will work about 75% in person and 25% remote.

Education:

Minimum - Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or other Behavioral Health related field.

Preferred -

Work Experience:

Minimum - One (1) year of combined experience working with individuals with substance use and mental health disorders

Preferred - Two (2) years of combined experience working with individuals with substance use and mental health disorders

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum -

  • Unrestricted Mental Health license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS), or license eligible in the State of Wisconsin
  • Unrestricted certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC), Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), or the substance use disorder specialty granted with the LCSW, LPC, or LMFT, with the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS), or license eligible in the State of Wisconsin (One or more years' experience working with substance abuse disorders may be considered in lieu of substance abuse certification)
  • CPR/BLS
  • If in Behavioral Health Youth and Family (BHYF):
    • Must be 21 years of age to drive a patient and/or the patient's family in the employee's personal vehicle or a UW Health owned fleet vehicle.
    • Ability to be insured by UW Health's Risk Management insurer, which requires:
      • A valid driver's license and
      • Successfully passing a driver's background check
