What Your Schedule Will Look Like:
Standard Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday


Job Summary: The Blender Operator is responsible for supporting the Blending Room production working closely with leadership and the production team members to ensure work is completed effectively and efficiently according to client expectations and following food safety protocols and procedures. 


What You'll Do
:
  • Assist in line set-up
  • General cleaning of blending room and blending room equipment including wet clean operations as necessary
  • Preparation of packaging components
  • Filling product into packaging components
  • Operation of bag sealing equipment such as the Fischbein and Thiele Sealer
  • Operation of Scott and Marion blender systems and operation and set up of metal detectors
  • Palletizing of finished product
  • Loading of raw ingredients into blender
  • Operation of Scott and Marion blender systems and operation and set up of metal detectors
  • Act as a training facilitator for all new Blending Room Operators
  • Operation of overhead hoist equipment
  • Monitor and support all quality measures including overall visual bag inspection for proper seal integrity, coding and weight details
  • Documentation of all quality attributes such as periodic quality checks, product identifying lot numbers, and ingredient data into quality documents
  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s and maintain sanitary conditions to ensure that product quality is maintained
  • Communicate all production related concerns and matters to the Production Supervisor, Lead Production Operator, and/or Blending Room Operator 2 in a timely manner
  • Support production in the proper cleaning of all production rooms and production related machinery and packaging equipment
  • Support day to day functions of the blending rooms
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:
  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 1+ year of prior experience working in blending or formulating food/non-food materials
  • Previous experience working in food/beverage, dietary supplement, or pharmaceutical manufacturing required
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate fluently in English
  • Must be able to work in a dusty environment with exposure to main food allergens (ex. soy, dairy, nuts, etc.)
  • Must be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; converse and listen
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time, up to eight (8) or more hours in a shift
  • Frequently required to lift, carry, move, push or pull materials, product or equipment weighing up to 50+ pounds
