Department OverviewMobile Video Migration SpecialistJob Description

The Mobile Video Migration Specialist is responsible for migrating data from one on-premise server to another or to the cloud. This role will interface and support both the Project Management Team and the Deployment Services Team. Their goals are to maximize our customer's onboarding experience with Motorola Solutions mobile video products (Dash Cameras, Body Cameras and Evidence Management Software).

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple data migrations through completion

  • Update customers and management on progress of data migrations.

  • Work with engineering to resolve any issues in the data migration process.

  • Discuss and document network infrastructure for wired and wireless communications within the customer's environment

  • Must have working knowledge of both Windows and Linux environments.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field

  • 4 years IT experience

  • Experience with remote access into Windows and Linux environments

  • Familiarity with Azure Cloud based applications and tools

  • Strong Google Suite knowledge

  • Strong Microsoft Office experience

  • Experience with PowerShell

  • Knowledge of enterprise storage solutions is a plus

  • Intermediate experience with Linux (preferred)

  • Skilled in Hardware, Software and Network troubleshooting

This position is a remote position and candidates can be located anywhere in the US.

This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related field

  • OR 4 years prior Information Technology experience

  • Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
