Machining Supervisor

We are a privately-held independent metal fabrication company that produces components used in a wide range of industries. Our goal is to provide products and services that meet our customers’ needs in a timely fashion with the highest level of quality and value.

Our capabilities are constantly expanding and currently include metal stamping, laser cutting, brake forming, tubular stamped components, CNC and Swiss machined parts, wire forms, thread rolling, weldments, and integrated assemblies. Our modern facility includes a complete in-house tool and die department and fastener distributorship.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
 
  • Supervise machining operations.
  • Produce parts to print and meet production standards.
  • Setup, program, operate and troubleshoot CNC mills and lathes.
  • Reduce setup time and machining through process improvements.
  • Understands, interprets and edits G-code programming.
  • Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling.
  • Design necessary tooling and fixtures for the job.
  • Implement product processes and routings.
  • Produce product that meets the required dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
  • Operate machines at optimal capacity, speeds and efficiencies.
  • Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Attends scheduled meetings and actively participates by providing meaningful input.
  • Flexible with time and schedule to assure availability to customer or company as circumstances warrant.
  • Positive and Strong work ethic.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High knowledge and understanding of metal machining.
  • Competent at dimensional measuring and the use of precision measurement tools.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and other shop drawing aids at a high level.
  • Ability to work with various types of metal machining constraints without guidance.
  • Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge.
  • Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced environment to meet team expectations.
  • Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
  • Understanding and support of company policies and procedures.
  • Safety conscious behavior.
  • Excellent attendance.
