We are looking for an Production Control Analyst who will be responsible for developing and maintaining manufacturing and material strategies by providing technical leadership to achieve total customer satisfaction and financial objectives and assist in purchasing needs of the facility.

Job Summary:

The Production Control Analyst ensures that daily production requirements are met through analysis and reporting of production status. You will report to the Production and Inventory Control Manager. The position works with management team to ensure that deadlines and schedules are met and thereby preventing line stoppages/delays to keep our customers satisfied!

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

This position will be responsible for comprehending the needs and requirements of customers or business partners in order to bring strategic value to them while promoting customer needs as the key driver for business goals and initiatives. Building strong relationships and partnerships across the company to leverage ideas, capabilities, and processes is critical to the role as well as instilling an enthusiastic response in others toward achieving company goals and priorities, and arousing others' commitment and support, even when embarking on unknown territory.

In this role you will be....

  • Driving daily production efficiencies by releasing/sequencing the manufacturing orders related to specific product lines and/or assigned project work based on material/capacity availability and using the Differential Planning strategy specified in the materials planning guide.   • Managing material availability by setting/monitoring SAP exceptions, actual component usage, and following-up with suppliers on parts and materials needed to support operations
  • Responsibility for inventory levels related to specific product lines and/or assigned project work. Assist Central Material Analyst and Master Schedulers in executing appropriate countermeasures for deviations from planned inventory levels (MIN / MAX stocking violations)
  • Working with the Central Material Analysts to review inventory planning parameters to establish/maintain appropriate customer service driven safety stock/reorder point levels for components and/or finished goods based on processes specified in the materials planning guide.   • Working with the Master Schedulers and Manufacturing Engineers to thoroughly understand and advise on managing short term/long term capacities to minimize the cause for past due orders
  • Creating, modifying, and maintaining realistic material, manufacturing and procurement strategies for new product introductions/phase out products to support the NPM (new product manufacturing) process.
  • Working with the Master Scheduler to comprehend the monthly production of safety stock or targeted finished goods inventories

The Essentials: You Will Have

  • Bachelor's Degree

The Preferred: You Might Also Have

  • Typically requires at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • APICS Certification
  • Production control/material planning experience with a working knowledge of computer-based manufacturing systems, a solid background in a manufacturing environment with a working knowledge of Focus and PC applications
