Job Overview

As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for a range of support activities for the Fabrication Department. This department fabricates large, welded structures that make up the building blocks for our Forestry Equipment.

This position will be based onsite at our TimberPro facility in Shawano, Wisconsin! The target start date for this role is Summer 2024 and has potential to be extended into the Fall 2024 school semester. We offer full-time hours during the summer and flexible part-time hours during the academic year.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Develop catalog of vital manufacturing stands/fixtures/jigs.
  • Study incoming part flow to setup tables
  • Document the orientation & dunnage needed to present parts to setup welders
  • Evaluate if kitting from vendors needs revision for new plant layout.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering, or similar, from an accredited college or university
  • Sophomore level student in good academic standing
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team towards a goal
  • Excellent organization and personal time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess effective problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to be creative and resourceful when needed
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
