As a Production Control II, you'll coordinate detailed production schedules on small to medium projects to serve as a liaison between different customers and work centers to ensure assemblies flow through the various stages of production. You will work with various support teams to identify potential shortages and stoppages prior to them occurring. You will also work with the Master Scheduler to ensure the master schedule is current with respect to present and future schedules. Your role will play a vital role in pushing the production floor towards meeting our challenging product demands and schedules.

Sierra Space-based in Louisville, CO with operations in Madison, WI, Durham, NC, Huntsville, AL, Houston, TX, and Kennedy Space Center, FL-designs and manufactures the Dream Chaser spaceplane and other advanced spacecraft, commercial space destinations, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers, and international organizations.

Must-haves:

  • Associate degree in a related field of study and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
  • A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of production and material control processes
  • Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access functionality


Preferred:

  • Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) II production scheduling system or MRP I material management software
  • Experience with MS Project, MS PowerPoint and Smart Sheet is preferred
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required

Estimated Starting Salary Range:

$22.17 - $33.26
