Test Engineering Intern

Position Summary:

Reporting to an Engineering Manager this position assists and supports the engineering department. Responsibilities to include the building of test equipment.

Position Requirements:

  1. Builds components and sensor final assemblies
  2. Prototypes components quoting, tracking, and procurement
  3. Coordinates and documents lab test activities and performance, including writing test reports
  4. Performs tear-down analysis, reports lab test failures, and completes corrective action plans
  5. Provides design input for products based on lab findings
  6. Assembles concept models, functional models, and other components under the supervision of engineers and technical personnel
  7. Provides detailed drawings and prints via CAD equipment
  8. Maintain compliance to current ISO standards and customer specific requirements as applicable
  9. Support, promote, and perform in a manner consistent with High Performance teams, continuous improvement goals, and values of SSI Technologies, Inc

Professional/Technical Experience, Skills and Education:

  1. Ideal candidate will be pursuing a Bachelor's degree at a 4 year college/university, preferably in Electrical Engineering, required.
  2. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer drawings and specifications. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to customer inquiries and other employees of the organization.
  3. Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform advanced mathematical concepts.
  4. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exits. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
  5. Computer knowledge
