An experienced design engineer is sought to join the Broadcom VLSI design team in Andover, Massachusetts. The position requires a working knowledge of high speed digital circuits and RTL programming. The individual would be part of a larger team of architects, design engineers, verification engineers and physical design engineers creating cutting edge, high speed IP used in products throughout the company.

  • Job Description

    • Responsible for the design (RTL), design verification and timing closure of complex digital systems working closely with verification engineers to debug and verify functionality

    • Works closely with Architecture, layout teams to understand design for DFT and timing closure of digital circuits

    • Works with the post-silicon team to validate designs and resolve customer reported issues

    • The engineer in this position will join a team of highly competent design engineers involved in the implementation of high performance and low power circuits for digital systems

    • Will develop tools and scripts needed to improve efficiency of tasks

  • Job Requirements

    • BSEE or equivalent required and with 12+ years of related experience; MSEE is a plus, with 10+ years of related experience

    • Knowledge of DRAM technology (e.g. DDR3, DDR4, LPDDR4, LPDDR5)

    • Strong Verilog/System Verilog coding skills

    • Good working knowledge of synthesis and timing closure tools. (Design Compiler, Fusion Compiler, Primetime)

    • Self-motivated with the ability to drive designs from specification to completion.

    • Working knowledge of scripting languages (Perl, Tcl etc.)

    • Good written/oral communication skills

  • Desired skills

    • Timing analysis, Power Analysis with leading tools and flows

    • Formal Verification (tool usage and verification flow design)

    • Experience with Design for Test (DFT) tools

    • Knowledge of Physical design tools

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $111,000 - $185,000

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
