Work Schedule:

90% FTE, day shift. No weekends, no holidays. Partial remote work option after orientation. This position will primarily be at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to:

  • Join our world-class interdisciplinary team of providers, nurses, dietitians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other skilled team members to provide life-changing care for brain and nervous system disorders; allowing patients with neurological disorders to live the best life possible!
  • Contribute to a highly collaborative team and learning environment, where everyone's voice is valued, staff wellbeing is a priority and critical thinking, and questions are encouraged.
  • Engage in collaboration, serving as the touchpoint for patients via MyChart, phone and in-person. Programs within the neurology clinic include: epilepsy, headache, movement disorders, MS, neuromuscular disorders, neuro-oncology, neuropsychology and stoke, and general neurology.
  • Serve as an educator for patients and their families regarding therapies, treatment plans and medications.
  • Assist with procedures such as lumbar punctures, muscle biopsies and botox injections.
  • Participate in research and clinical trials in partnership with providers and other team members, that can help advance care for all neurological patients.

Education:

Minimum - Graduate of school of nursing.

Preferred - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Work Experience:

Minimum - Six (6) months of RN experience.

Preferred - Relevant RN experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact and CPR/BLS Certification.

Preferred - Applicable clinical certification.
