The Project Coordinator occupies an important position in the execution of Service projects and activities related to services in Motion Service in Wauwatosa, WI (Wisconsin). You will be coordinating and planning the provision of necessary resources, spare parts and logistics for on-site service jobs, ensuring that the process is seamless, from quotation to invoicing and cash collection. The Project Coordinator handles calls from customers requesting services, asses critical needs, prioritize service calls, plan service engineers, and dynamically adjust for critical service interrupts. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the project managers, technical support, sales and the customer to ensure that site work complies with ABB's and customer's standards, procedures and policies.

Your responsibilities

  • Health, safety and environment (HSE), facilitates and supports safe working practices and ABB field service work policies
  • Builds and maintains sustainable relationship with customer. Manages customer requirements and customer enquiries. Ensures continuous communication
  • Coordinates, plans, schedules and oversees all Service jobs with necessary resources including tools, equipment, sub-contractors, spare parts, personnel and logistics for on-site work
  • Manages customer satisfaction by ensuring that ABB fulfils its contractual obligations and business requirements. Ensures the required quality is delivered and the health, safety and environmental issues are competently managed. Reviews the scope of the work and ensures that all parties fulfil their contractual obligations, particularly regarding claims and changes
  • Manages the Service order process in a timely manner from quotation to invoicing and cash collection
  • Manages all required reporting and documentation. Ensures all necessary data has been registered in a timely manner in the system
  • Cooperates and coordinates activities with other ABB units and teams to harmonize Service activities and to maximize Service sales at every opportunity. Ensures the transfer of Service findings to the product /system Local Business Units for improvement of their offerings
  • The Project Coordinator will be on call 1 week per month (24/7) and be available to assist customers and field personnel after hours via phone and computer
  • Help facilitate and encourage timely field service engineering reporting and monitor overall performance
Your background

  • Bachelor degree OR Associate degree and 2 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 4 year of relevant experience required
  • Excellent organizational skills along with exceptional detail orientation to keep both electronic and hard copy files required
  • Previous project coordinator or field service experience is highly preferred
  • Strong computer skills with experience in MS Office required; SAP or other WEB based software is preferred
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
