Your opportunity

We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer Intern to join our Connected Lighting Products and Controls New Product Development Team onsite in Peachtree City, GA. You'll be responsible for supporting our growing products.

What you'll do

  • Support post sales technical issues and resolve quality issues related to components or manufacturing

  • Troubleshoot field related technical issues and implement factory tests

  • Test and evaluate lighting fixtures and various critical electrical/mechanical components

  • Prototype and build Proof-of-Concepts

  • Write executive summaries to communicate issues and resolutions to management

Your qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical degree

  • Understands electrical basics of control theory, AC/DC, and RF

  • Demonstrates basic mechanical design approaches and capabilities

  • Basic knowledge of various material and their structural and thermal properties

  • Able to work 40 hours per week during the summer onsite in Peachtree City, GA

Pay Rate: $21 - $31 per hour (based on year of study and major)
