Main Duties & Responsibilities

Basic Scope:
Power Generation Assembly Lead. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in generator assembly, field service, instrumentation, and panels. Additionally, familiarity with internal combustion engines required and knowledge of natural gas-fired engines is required. As the Assembly Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating the assembly process, ensuring quality standards are met, and managing a team of assemblers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble genset packages according to standard procedures.
Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve any technical issues during the assembly process.
Supervise and train assembly technicians to ensure efficient and accurate work.
Perform complex and precise electro-mechanical assembly work.
Tasks require a high level of skill with a variety of hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and machinery.
Typically involves a variety of operations, including troubleshooting and rework, requiring a sufficient understanding of the functional operation of the items assembled as well as the finished product.
Must be able to work from complex and detailed manufacturing documentation and/or verbal and written instructions and specialized fixtures/test equipment.
Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in generator assembly and installation.
Familiarity with field service operations and troubleshooting preferred.
Proficiency in instrumentation and control panel assembly.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.
Knowledge of internal combustion engines.
Knowledge of natural gas-fired engines and related systems preferred.
Experience with electrical and instrumentation (I&E) work is a plus.
Must be able to work from complex and detailed manufacturing documentation and/or verbaland written instructions and specialized fixtures/test equipment.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Desire a high degree of mechanical aptitude & electrical/instrumentation knowledge
Vocational or high school training in automotive mechanics helpful but not necessary
Must know how to use mechanic hand tools and power hoist
Must know how to read precision measuring instruments, read instruction books and manuals and ability to comprehend assembly drawings

Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand, bend and lift up to 50 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment:
Eye Protection consists of goggles, face shield or safety glasses.
Steel Toe Safety Shoe/Boot required.

Work Environment:
Warehouse Environment.
Exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold or chemicals

Regular Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm. Overtime as needed.
