Job Summary:

Provides oversight, planning, consultation, coordination and implementation leadership for the Froedtert Epic OpTime and Anesthesia teams. Collaborates with Information Technology and Operational Leadership on an application specific roadmap while balancing application team resource allocation. The Mgr Clinical Apps Inpatient is expected to be knowledgeable in general operations in the surgical space and have a knowledge of the Epic applications and software that support our end users. Manages all elements of the application teams under their direct reporting. Oversee and be responsible for day-to-day operations of the team in addition to Epic Project responsibilities. Propose and manage relevant capital and operating budgets and maintain third party vendor relationships. Responsible for strategic development and for overseeing large scale multi-year projects dealing with many different stakeholders including clinical, operations, and technical groups within the institution, as well as collaborating peer teams with matrix reporting.


EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

Five or more years experience in healthcare information technology is required. Prior experience with Epic system implementation projects is required. Two years of management experience including supervision of employees and budgetary responsibilities is preferred. Direct experience in health care delivery (nurse, nurse practitioner, physician, pharmacist, or revenue cycle profession) is preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Bachelors Degree in Clinical discipline, Computer Science or Healthcare related field or acquired through a combination of education and experience.

TRAINING DESCRIPTION:

Epic Patient Access Manager or Supervisor experience across multiple applications: ClinDoc, ASAP, Orders, Beaker, Willow, Beacon, OpTime, Anesthesia, or Stork.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Epic Certifications in one or more modules is required. Preferred are certifications or proficiencies across Inpatient, Ambulatory, Ancillary, Patient Access, or Revenue Cycle Applications.
