Do you have prior patient care experience and want to gain additional skills? Join our Anesthesia team! We will train you for this position on the job.

Performs a variety of functions to prepare and maintain equipment and supplies as needed by the Anesthesiologist.

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Completion of an accredited program in Anesthesia Technology (A.A.S. degree) preferred and certification as an Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T) through the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) preferred.

  • CPR certification obtained within three months of hire - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.

  • Requires ability to understand and identify medical equipment problems and apply technical knowledge in the set-up and calibration of medical equipment.

  • Requires analytical skills in order to identify problems, troubleshoot and find the most efficient solutions to problems.

  • Requires interpersonal skills in order to interact with a variety of professional and technical personnel.

  • Must be able to walk, stand for long periods, over 80% of the assigned work period and lift and position equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Must adhere to weekday, weekend, and Holiday on-call rotation with a 30 minute response time.

  • 2nd shift hours: 2pm-10:30pm.

  • Takes call during off shifts and holidays as part of the normal department on-call practices (Call requirements are weekdays, weekends and Holidays).

  • Maintains, or makes arrangement for a response time to the hospital of 30 minutes when on call.
