Job Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education (UW CIPE). UW CIPE is a University Center established in 2016 and being supported by the University Health Sciences Leadership Council (the UW Provost Office, and the Deans of the four health sciences schools; School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH), School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy and School of Veterinary Medicine). Our Mission is to work collaboratively locally, nationally and globally to champion, integrate, and advance Interprofessional Practice and Education (IPE) to achieve the Quintuple Aim: better population health, better patient care, better value, better provider work experience, and better health equity.

The Director will report to a health sciences dean (School of Medicine and Public Health, School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy, or School of Veterinary Medicine) and the Health Sciences Council, which is comprised of the health sciences deans and chaired by the provost.

Qualifications:

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

- Strong leadership experience in interprofessional education and practice, healthcare institutions and/or graduate academic health education programs.
- Expert knowledge of academic and healthcare disciplinary culture and practice.
- Interprofessional education and practice experience (more than 3 years) in a healthcare and academic institution.
- Experience with program development, management, and leadership.
- Experience with local/state/federal funding agencies/foundations and grant writing.
- Evidence of leadership and participation in interprofessional conferences, training, and/or research.

For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CHS or CT Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the Health Sciences school's guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS or CT Track.

Work Type:

Full or Part Time: 75% - 100%

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.

Additional Information:

The person hired would have to be eligible for an appointment in one of our health professions schools; School of Medicine and Public Health, School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy or, School of Veterinary Medicine.

The person in this role would have 75% - 100% FTE as the CIPE Director and the remainder FTE spent on clinical or scholarly work as a faculty member within the following UW health sciences schools (Nursing, Pharmacy, Medicine and Public Health, or Veterinary Medicine)

The person hired is required to have an active, no restriction license for the State of Wisconsin in their clinical field.
