Location: US:WI:MILWAUKEE at our FROEDTERT HOSPITAL facility.

This job is ON - SITE.

FTE: 1.000000

Shift: 1st shift flexible 7:30 am to 4:30 pm with an on call rotation 6 times a year for one week.

Job Summary:
The responsibilities of the Biomedical Engineering II include installation, calibration, inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair of basic and complex patient care equipment such as ventilators, balloon pumps, anesthesia units, sterilization, endoscopy systems, other diagnostic/therapeutic equipment and other related technical equipment. Other duties as assigned.

TECHNICIAN II Requirements:

Experience Description:

A minimum of 5 years of related experience in the repair and maintenance of basic and complex medical equipment is required.

7 years of related experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment is preferred.

Education Description:

Associate degree in Biomedical or Electrical Technology or equivalent military training is required.

In lieu of the associate degree, a total of 6 years of relevant work experience is required.

Training Description:

Specialized training in medical equipment service and support is required.

TECHNICIAN I Requirements:

Experience Description:

3 years of related experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment is preferred.

Education Description:

Associate degree in Biomedical or Electrical Technology or equivalent military training is required.

In lieu of the associate degree, a total of 2 years of relevant work experience is required.

Special Training Skills Description:

Knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems.

Repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and inspect basic patient care equipment such as patient monitoring, surgical devices, infusion devices, basic diagnostic/therapeutic equipment and other related technical equipment.

Strong analytical skills and critical thinking ability.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and inspect complex medical equipment such as ventilators, balloon pumps, anesthesia units, sterilization, endoscopy systems, other diagnostic/therapeutic equipment and other related technical equipment.

Licensure Description:

Valid WI driver's license is required.

CBET Certification is preferred.
