Job/Internship Description
Overview

Assists the IMS department with various assignments and projects while advancing knowledge of information technology and career opportunities within the field.
Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Observe IMS operations to gain an understanding of job responsibilities and opportunities in the field.
  • Attends meetings as an additional learning opportunity and avails themselves to other learning opportunities as they become available.
  • Assist in answering incoming calls and resolving basic end-user inquiries/problems.
  • Answers calls in a courteous manner and documents calls per department protocol
  • Assists in stocking inventory and dissemination/delivery of equipment
  • Assists the department with short term and special projects as assigned

Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent.
Currently enrolled in college program in an information technology curriculum.


Certification and Licensure

No certification required

Good analytical skills

Excellent interpersonal skills

Special Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
