Job Description
Overview

Assists physicians in prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients in the hospital setting by performing the following duties supporting the nursing philosophy. May include day, evening, night, weekend, holiday, and/or on-call hours.


Responsibilities

  • Serves as resource person for Endoscopy equipment used.
  • Evaluates new equipment, orders and restocks supplies.
  • Does periodic check of schedule for specific supplies, requests by physicians/Lead RN.
  • Works with Materials to stay within contact to control costs.
  • Assists physician procedures.
  • Communicates with appropriate departments concerning equipment problems.
  • Participates in Quality Management program, standards, policies and procedures.

Education and Experience

High School Education or equivalent
Certification/Licensure

Active on CNA registry or Active LPN license in state of practice preferred.
Approved CPR certification required within 90 days (Other certification per unit requirements: ACLS, PALS, PEARS, NRP)

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
