Job Description

The Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) is a 15-bed, outpatient specialty area within the hospital. It may also be called an observation unit. It is a place where a patient's health can be monitored when they do not meet the requirements for inpatient hospitalization yet require further observation before they go home.

The unit allows our patients to rest in a comfortable, private healing space and to stay longer than a traditional emergency room visit. It is designed for patients who need tests or short-term treatments. A patient in this unit will benefit from a quick assessment of their condition, less time in the hospital, a lower cost of care, and a better experience.

What You Will Do:

We are currently searching for a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide supportto the staff and patients on the unit. Qualified candidates will work independentlyproviding resource information and general nursing care to patients.Completes clerical tasks related to regulatory annual requirements, audits and patient processes.

What You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) - active or exipred on registry
  • Must have a strong interest in customer service, able to multi task, work independently with littlesupervision.
  • Passionate about providing excellent patient care and able to demonstrate compassion at the end of life.
