Job Description

Work Schedule:

FTE 100%, 90%, 80%, 60%, 24-40 hours per week (Full and Part-Time options). You may be eligible for up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE). Monday - Friday day shift with variable start times. At University Hospital: Saturday and Sunday shifts 8:00AM - 4:30PM on a reasonable rotational basis. One hour call response time. Call is at University Hospital only in rotation with other sonographers. The team supports coverage across the Madison area.

Pay:

  • External hires may be eligible for up to a $5,000.00 sign on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE).

We are seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to:

  • Become a member of a dynamic team that focuses on providing an optimal cardiovascular imaging experience.
  • Experience the opportunity to work in an environment that utilizes cutting edge technology and procedures. The team supports a robust structural heart program. The procedures include; transcatheter aortic and mitral valve replacements, Watchman and MitraClip implantation and alcohol septal ablation procedures.
  • Work with other teams of health care professionals to provide a positive experience to all patients, families and visitors.
  • Join our Cardiovascular Imaging Lab that is accredited by the IAC - in both Echo and Vascular Imaging.
  • Work at a variety of locations, including a Level 1 Trauma Center, critical care facility and several clinics in the Madison area

Education:

Minimum - Graduate of an ultrasonography program

Preferred -

* Completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited ultrasonography training program.

* Bachelor's degree in Ultrasonography, Radiology, Biological Sciences or a relevant health sciences field.

Work Experience:

Preferred - Two (2) years of echocardiography experience

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum -

* Registered in echocardiography (RCS or RDCS)

* Basic Life Support/CPR

Preferred - Registered in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound (RCS or RDCS and RVT or RVS)
