Required Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year of formal advanced training in integrative medicine (fellowship integrative medicine, board certification in integrative medicine, or the equivalent) AND/OR five or more years of direct patient care experience as a Physician Assistant in integrative medicine and/or evidence of formal/reputable training in integrative health.
• Direct experience in the practice of general and integrative medicine, and exceptional clinical skills in integrative medicine.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with interprofessional teamwork and collaboration.
• Leadership in the clinical practice of integrative medicine.
• Experience in medical or interprofessional education.

License/Certification

• Must hold an active and current California Physician Assistant License (PA)
• California driver's license (CDL) if required for position
• Must hold current national board certification by first day of work and maintain
• Must hold an active and transferable DEA license to California and have evidence of transfer by 90th day of clinical practice. (It is the responsibility of the employee to transfer their DEA license to their new place of employment if from out of state, via online DEA portal and provide evidence of transfer).
• Must have completed an AAPA recognized graduate master's degree program as a physician assistant.
• Must have submitted enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through the credentialing process by first clinical day.
• Must hold current AHA BLS as minimum

UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
