Position Summary: The Human Resources Business Partner will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading the strategic and tactical human resources activities and aligning business objectives with employees and leadership across single-site or multiple sites and union/union-free settings. The HR Business Partner will play an essential role in aligning the company's business objectives while focusing on providing human resource support to allow the company to thrive.

Duties for Human Resource Business Partner: The HR Business Partner's duties will include acting as a link between management, corporate staff, and plant/facility employees by handling HR-related questions and matters; and interpreting and administering policies, procedures, practices, programs, and any related contracts. This individual will collaborate with the General Manager and Business Unit Leaders to translate current and future business goals and tactics that will align with the overall human resource strategies and processes. The HR Business Partner will be responsible for leading the administration of collective bargaining agreements including grievance handling and negotiations in a union setting as well as planning and conducting new employee onboarding, orientation, and assimilation for both hourly and salaried employees.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in a related field and/or Professional certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years in either a generalist role or in a succession of assignments in various HR disciplines.
  • 5+ years of human resources management or business partner experience within a manufacturing environment. .
  • Experience managing employee/labor relations for single/multi-site businesses including demonstrated positive employee relations programs and activities.
  • Experience with talent management, including recruitment, performance management, and employee training and development.
  • Experience in project management, change management, and conflict management/resolution.

Computer Skills

  • Ability to use a personal computer utilizing spreadsheet and word processing software applications, databases, and automated systems to accomplish work.
  • Advanced/Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with HRIS administration (e.g., SuccessFactors) including Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Proficiency in the use of Adobe and SharePoint preferred.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn ExponentHR and talent management systems (SuccessFactors).

Certificates, Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred.
