Mechanical Assembler

Job Purpose:

Performs a wide variety of electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies per work instruction and/or drawings. Assembles structures, parts, components, and position, align, and fasten components to skid, back planes or units by using a variety of tools and equipment.

• Prepares all surfaces and components as necessary to ensure no damage occurs during assembly and testing.
• Positions, aligns, and adjusts parts for proper fit and assembly.
• Assists Electrical assemblers in performing electrical assembly tasks.
• Identifies and reports any faulty components or hazardous conditions during the assembly process.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Min 2 years' experiencein the switchgear manufacturing environment.
  Proficient in Google suite, MS Office or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Ability to follow work instructions and procedures
• Works Consistently under safety regulations
• Lift demand: Lift up to 60lb on anoccasionalbasis
• Overtime required when needed
