TheUMass Memorial Health Care Department of Psychiatryis seeking aGeriatric Psychiatristat HealthAlliance- Clinton Hospital in Central Massachusetts.

We arethe largest provider of psychiatric services in central Massachusetts with over 400 faculty members who work in a variety of settings within UMass Memorial Health Care,the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, and the public sector.We integrate our clinical, research, teaching and community partnership activities to help individuals and families transform their lives through recovery from mental illness and addiction.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the delivery of comprehensive, clinically effective psychiatric care to Geriatrics on the inpatient setting
  • Duties include admission assessments, diagnostic formulation, medication management, treatment planning and the discharge of patients.
  • Models collaborative practice by fostering a culture of trust, respect and fairness to all stake holders and all clinical staff
  • Participates in weekday evening and weekend is optional and provides additional compensation


The Department has outstanding training programs which include 27 residents and fellows as well as 16 trainees. Our Psychiatry positions offer the opportunity for involvement in a full range of activities. We are a national leader in public sector psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, neurodevelopmental disorders, biological psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, forensic psychiatry, psychosocial rehabilitation, women's mental health, and addiction psychiatry.
